Massage and Pilates Studio

I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.

Our Story

Let me share with you my story of how practicing massage therapy led to Pilates training.  Back in 2006, my mother recognized my "gifted strong hands" and urged me to pursue a career in massage therapy. Without hesitation, I left my stressful job and enrolled in massage school full-time. After graduation, I knew I had found my true calling in helping others feel better in their bodies. In 2009, I took a leap of faith to open Anointed Hands Massage Therapy and acquired my first office space.  However, it wasn’t until 2011 that I began working for myself full-time.

After many years of providing daily massages, I knew I needed to take better care of my own body if I wanted to maintain longevity in the massage field. I sought out a fitness regimen that helped with strength-building and joint mobility. That’s when I found Pilates. Upon taking my first lesson, I instantly felt relief in my body. By the end of class, I had less tension, felt lighter and energized. Soon after beginning my personal journey with Pilates, I knew I wanted to learn how to teach Pilates.

So in 2018, I completed my teacher training, purchased my first Pilates apparatus and began taking clients within my office space. This is when I became known as Anointed Hands Massage and Pilates Studio. Teaching Pilates has enhanced my skills as a massage therapist because I have a better understanding of how the body was designed to move. Combining the therapeutic benefits of massage with Pilates, I help clients recover from pain, build strength, and gain body awareness. It's an absolute honor to do what I love and make a positive impact on people's lives.
